Iron Man

Billionaire engineer Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) is a defense contractor on a tour in war-torn Afghanistan when his convoy is caught in an ambush, and he is taken as a prisoner. Determined to free himself, Stark creates a unique weaponized suit of armor to fight evil and save his life. Iron Man is the first film to kick off what became the epic Marvel Cinematic Universe, which now includes over 65 movies, shorts and TV shows, taking inspiration and transforming the beloved comics to the silver screen and beyond.

This screening will be followed by a panel discussion with University of Missouri researchers Tim Luisi, Department of Communication and Bret Ulery, Department of Chemical and Biomedical Engineering.
