On a stormy night, in the middle of nowhere, a newly engaged couple’s car breaks down and are forced to seek shelter in the bizarre castle of mad scientist Dr. Frank-n-Furter (screen legend Tim Curry in his debut role). As this couple dances and sings through this mysterious mansion, they meet the latest mind-blowing medical marvel of Dr. Frank-n-Furter. This cult classic musical is a rockin’ good time and is known for its longstanding dedicated and enthusiastic audience born out of the midnight movie crowd. Nearly 50 years on, The Rocky Horror Picture Show remains a key text in the canon of queer, camp films. This screening will be followed by a panel discussion with researchers from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
