Meet Me in St. Louis

This year in the life musical follows the well-off Smith family at the turn of the century before the 1904 St. Louis World’s Fair. Told through a series of seasonal vignettes, starting in the summer of 1903, Esther (Judy Garland) has a crush on the boy next door but her dreams of romance might be cut short by a family move. Based on “The Kensington Stories”, a series of short stories published in The New Yorker in 1942, this timeless tale of family and young love was a critical and commercial success upon its release and has since been preserved in the United States National Film Registry.
