Details About the Film

This film is part of the series Passport: Third Cinema

The conclusion of Patricio Guzmán’s The Battle of Chile, The Power of the People, follows the ordinary citizens who attempted to develop new social welfare systems in the face of opposition from the military and the political right. While not released until several years after Part 2, Part 3 is an essential conclusion to this epic film for its depiction of people becoming politically transformed and enacting and advocating for the change they wanted to see. Part 3 represents Third Cinema’s commitment to showing on-screen how to change oppressive realities off-screen.
