Little Women

Greta Gerwig’s sophomore feature is a heartfelt adaptation of the eponymous novel by Louisa May Alcott that follows four sisters who come of age in the aftermath of the American Civil War. When Beth (Eliza Scanlen) falls ill, her sisters Jo (Saoirse Ronan), Meg (Emma Watson), and Amy (Florence Pugh) all come together, reminiscing on the past and pondering their futures as sisters and women. A touching tale of family, womanhood, and art, Little Women earned six Academy Awards and brought Gerwig’s directorial career to new heights.
