Teenage computer nerd David (Matthew Broderick) has a passion for gaming and hacking. When he attempts to hack into a computer system in order to play unreleased video games, David accidentally ends up connecting to the Department of Defense’s war computer, where he must face off against an algorithm that believes he’s starting the countdown on World War 3. Together with his friend and a wise computer genius, David must convince the computer it’s all only a game.

This screening will be preceded by a presentation from Cindy Dudenhoffer, Teaching Professor and Associate Director of the School of Information Science & Learning Technologies at the University of Missouri-Columbia.
