Details About the Film

This film is part of the series SHOW ME: Season 4

In the early 2000s, Betty Reid Soskin was instrumental in the establishment of the Rosie the Riveter/WWII Home Front National Historical Park. Focused on sharing the untold histories of Black Americans on the WWII Home Front, Betty rose to prominence in the media as the oldest National Park Service member during the 2013 government shutdown. Filmed in the years before her retirement in 2020, this documentary celebrates the career and legacy of Betty Reid Soskin. This screening will be followed by a community conversation led by Missouri River Relief exploring topics such as national parks, access to the outdoors, and educational outreach.

Please note that FREE tickets for the public will be available at the Ragtag Box Office starting Thursday, February 20 at 12PM.
