For generations, the Madrigals have protected their rural village in the mountains of Colombia with the magical gifts they have received from a miracle. Each member of the family except for Maribel has acquired an extraordinary power. As she tries to find her place within the family, Maribel learns that their powers are weakening. It is up to Maribel, the “ordinary” Madrigal to save her family and village. Winner of Best Animated Feature at the 2022 Academy Awards and featuring original songs from Lin-Manuel Miranda, Encanto is a beautiful and bold musical that celebrates Hispanic culture and finding your own magic.
