The Wild Robot

After a storm causes a cargo ship to lose helper robot Roz (Lupita Nyong’o), she washes ashore on an uninhabited island where she is activated by the wildlife. Programmed to help others, Roz sets out to assist the animals but they fear this strange “monster.” Determined to be useful, she fosters an orphaned gosling and slowly gains the trust of the other animals. The Wild Robot is an animated science fiction film that tells a moving story of environmentalism and chosen family, stressing the importance of diverse communities.
