Launching the iconic screen duo of Paul Newman and Robert Redford, Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid follows the exploits of the infamous Wild West Outlaws as they find themselves unable to keep up with the West becoming “civilized.” Known as one of American cinema’s finest “buddy” films, Butch Cassidy earned four Academy Awards including Best Original Song for the theme song, “Raindrops Keep Falling on My Head,” by Burt Bachrach and Hal David. In remembrance of Robert Redford, Ragtag Classic Movies brings to our audience the film that would later shape Redford’s contributions to independent American cinema.
