For Memorial Day we watched Jack Nicholson in The Last Detail (1973), Hal Ashby's third film, following his dark masterpiece Harold and Maude. (If you haven't seen H&M, watch it now!). Two Navy men escorting a sad sack sailor (Randy Quaid) to prison decide to show him a good time first. Expect lots of swearing from Jack. Definitely worth checking out.
