We watched Touchez Pas au Grisbi (Hands Off the Loot, 1954) recently in movie club. It's in the school of "one last heist" French gangster movies, much like Bob le Flambeur, and is excellent. After Max's friend is kidnapped by a rival gang, he must choose: let his friend die, or give up the loot.
